This beautiful handmade Shamanic Sistrum is made with a Reindeer Antler handle. The Bronze Bells are tied to a plat of natural Reindeer Rawhide and natural, biodegradable ribbon, chosen in connection with the prayer of energy infused into the sacred tool.

The Kingfisher

The Kingfisher holds spiritual and mythic significance across cultures. In Celtic lore, birds like the kingfisher were considered messengers between the mortal world and the Otherworld, due to its habit of diving into and emerging from water, embodying connections between realms. As guardians of these sacred waters, kingfishers were revered for their presence near rivers and wells, which were believed to hold entrances to the divine or supernatural realms. At Heron Drums, we work with natural materials and animal hides - this way the strength and the spirit of the animal and the tree live on in these sacred medicine tools. All of the hides and woods for our shamanic medicine tools are ethically and sustainably sourced, meaning that the hides are sourced from horses that have died naturally or wild culled stags or reindeer, where the hides are otherwise discarded, and the wood for the sticks is from sustainably managed forests.
