 FAQ

  • Heron Drums holds Shamanic Drum Birthing workshops around the UK all year round.

Please keep an eye on the Drum Birthing workshops page for future workshop dates.

Sign up to our newsletter and follow our Facebook page for the earliest updates of these here.

  • The sound of your Shamanic Drum can be affected by the temperature and humidity. When it is colder and damper, it is likely that your drum will sound flat. To find out more about how to care for your drum, in terms of storage, transport, conditioning and playing outdoors, click here.

However, a drum not sounding right, or becoming really flat, could be a sign that there has been more serious damage to it. To find out how to identify this, and about repairs, click here

  • We are mindful of where we source our hides from, and ensure that none of our hides come from animals that have been farmed for meat. Our Horse hides come from privately owned, very much loved animals that have died naturally. Our Stag and Reindeer hides come from wild culled herds, where their hides are usually discarded. To read more about our hides and our discussion on the ethics of hide drums, click here.

  • All of our California White Sage is legally and responsibly harvested from sources that support First Nations communities. Furthermore, Heron Drums sends regular donations to charities and organisations that support First Nations communities and causes. Read more

  • We do ship internationally, and regularly ship to Europe, USA, and Canada.
