This beautiful handmade Shamanic Rattle is made with natural Horse hide, bound to a Yew handle. It is filled with specially selected stones, shell and incense.

Lodhadh "to break, shatter, or cut through" in Old Irish – is a name that speaks to transformation and the power of crossing thresholds. This horse rattle carries the potent energy of movement between worlds, echoing the horse’s ancient symbolism of strength, sovereignty, and the freedom of the soul in motion.

Sustainability

At Heron Drums, we work with natural materials and animal hides - this way the strength and the spirit of the animal and the tree live on in these sacred medicine tools. All of the hides and woods for our shamanic medicine tools are ethically and sustainably sourced, meaning that the hides are sourced from horses that have died naturally or wild culled stags or reindeer, where the hides are otherwise discarded, and the wood for the sticks is from sustainably managed forests.
