Spirit of Awen Drum raises £616

Heron Drums is thrilled to share the heartwarming story of the Spirit of Awen Drum, which not only fills the air with its powerful rhythms but also warmed our hearts with its charitable impact. Through this magical creation, the Spirit of Awen camp raised an impressive total of £616, and the proceeds went to support essential causes like Cancer Research, local food banks, and homeless charities.

The journey of the Spirit of Awen Drum began during the sacred Lammas ceremony at The Spirit of Awen Camp, an event that was as enchanting as it was meaningful. Under the summer sun, surrounded by the beautiful community, the crafting of a truly special Stag Shamanic Drum, characterized by an Oak hoop and Preseli Bluestone bound into its handle.

The birth of this drum was a moment of profound significance. Surrounded by the energy of the Lammas ceremony, everyone wove their intentions into the very fabric of the drum. We honoured the stag and oak, welcoming the spirit of the drum into existence. Through crafting the drum, Jonathan united everyone's prayers and aspirations through the sacred craft, invoking the blessings of the stag and oak, ultimately birthing the Spirit of Awen Drum.

But the drum's journey didn't end there. At the camp, they decided to auction this extraordinary creation, and the response was nothing short of remarkable. The Spirit of Awen Drum, carrying the energy and intentions of those who had touched it, found a new home while making a substantial difference in the world. It raised a staggering £616 through the auction, funds that will go on to contribute to Cancer Research, provide support to local food banks, and assist homeless charities.

We extend our heartfelt gratitude to The Spirit of Awen camp for inviting us to be a part of this magical co-creation. Together, we've not only crafted a remarkable sacred tool, described as the “most powerful sacred tool in a thousand years” but also shared the spirit of compassion and generosity.
