“Drum it Pink” raises £163 for Breast Cancer Awareness Month

At Heron Drums, we recently had the privilege of making a contribution during Breast Cancer Awareness Month, as we proudly raised £150 for Breast Cancer Now through our unique "Drum it Pink" Pink Drums.

Back in September, we unexpectedly received a vibrant pink-dyed Reindeer Hide. It sparked our curiosity and creativity, prompting us to turn to our Heron Drums community for suggestions for what we should do with it. Among the ideas we received, one stood out as a beautiful and purposeful way to make a difference: transforming the pink hide into a symbol of hope and awareness for Breast Cancer Awareness Month, observed every October.

With this heartfelt inspiration in mind, we embarked on a creative journey. We poured our passion and craftsmanship into crafting two exquisite pink Reindeer drums, featuring Willow hoops and adorned with Rose Quartz and Clear Quartz incorporated into the handles.

We allocated a portion of the proceeds from the sale of these Pink Drums to Breast Cancer Now. This was our way of not only raising awareness but also actively contributing to the ongoing fight against breast cancer.

For us at Heron Drums, our craft goes beyond creating beautiful sacred tools; it's about using our work to make a real and lasting impact on the world. Through our "Drum it Pink" Pink Drums, we joined hands with the broader community to support those affected by breast cancer, and we're proud to say that we donated £163 to Breast Cancer Now as part of this heartfelt initiative.

We thank everyone for contributing to this initiative, supporting with your ideas, inspiration and helping us to have a positive impact as a company.
