Journey of the Sacred Masculine

In recent decades, there has been a call to men to connect with the Sacred Masculine and grow in that aspect of ourselves. Our lives nowadays are different in many ways to those of our ancestors who lived on the land, followed the herds and took up their spear for their community, but in many ways their journey is still our journey, just in a different world. The journey for men now is to be able to access all of these parts of ourselves to help us live in good relationship with the Sacred Masculine.

In this six part course, we will be exploring myths, legends and archetypes, and working with shamanic journeys to connect with aspects of the Sacred Masculine to look at how we can connect with their virtues and bring them into our lives. There will also be ongoing exercises and practices to work on between each session.

This six-session men-only course will run from the Manor Barn, Cockering Road, Canterbury. The sessions will start at 7:30pm, with the aim to finish by 9:30pm.

The dates for the sessions are:

1- Wednesday 14th June

2- Wednesday 21st June

3- Wednesday 28th June

4- Wednesday 5th July

5- Wednesday 12th July

6- Wednesday 19th July

The price of this course is £90. If you book, you are committing to the entire course (ie. it is not possible to come to just one or two of the sessions). A non-refundable deposit of £25 is needed to secure your place, with the remaining balance being paid by the first session of the course. Instalments are available by arrangement.

This is a regular course that runs at different times throughout the year. If you are interested in finding out about a future course, please contact Jonathan to be kept informed.

Calling men of all ages: Join us as we gather together and create a sacred space to honour ourselves as men and to connect to the sacred masculine within us. With our feet on the earth, the drums will call, songs will be sung and stories will be told as we open our hearts in this circle of brotherhood. It is a day of ceremony, of sharing and of celebration, as well as a day of healing, of connection and of growth.

The White Tent Gatherings will meet monthly and with a flexible format, with the focus often directed by the season or cycle of the year. The aim of these days is to join together to create a sacred space of honouring and celebrating our brotherhood. It is a day to slow down, reconnect with ourselves, and build a community of men to support each other on our journeys.

These White Tent gatherings are open to all men from teenage years onward, are LGBT inclusive and, while the days have roots in spiritual traditions, they are open to anyone of any belief, faith or none.

These events run on a Pay What You Can basis, to make it accessible for everyone who wants to attend. These events are not for profit, however expenses are a real thing. If a suggested donation is needed, if all who are able to would give £25, this would help us cover the costs of running them. Any proceeds from the events will periodically be donated to the charity CALM (Campaign Against Living Miserably), who are dedicated to preventing male suicide. For more information about the work they do, please visit www.thecalmzone.net.
