On this full day workshop, we meet and work with sacred smudge incenses from around the world, with a focus on our connecting with our own native plant spirits.
This is a day of creativity, ceremony and learning as we craft our own Smudge Bowls, with mindfulness and gratitude to the earth for its gift of the clay. Clay will be provided to create your own smudge bowl.
We will each blend our own incense, putting our intent and prayers into it, and journey to the plant spirits to connect with their healing and their wisdom. Bring a small clean jar to take your incense blend home in.

At this special time of year, at the balance of light and dark, we honour and welcome the spirit of the Autumn and all its wisdom and medicine.
This full day workshop will cover the background to shamanism and will include practical explorations of the shamanic journey and the power of the drum. In line with the season and the Equinox, the day will focus on self healing, on letting go and on finding balance within ourselves.
No prior shamanic experience is necessary. Please bring a pillow, blanket and a scarf/blindfold and you are more than welcome to make notes if you have a journal or notebook. For lunch, we will all bring something to share as a Pot Luck Lunch – just as our ancestors would have shared food from the harvest, we too will share food on this day of ceremony.
The cost of the workshop is £50 per person (£35 if you are also on our Shamanic Drum Birthing Workshop on the same weekend). This workshop is taking place at LayaPoint, Ulpha, Broughton-in-Furness, Cumbria, LA20 6DT on Sunday 1st October 2017.
At this special time of year, the time of the thin veil, we honour those who have gone before us. Hearing the rhythm of the drum and the melody of spirit, we journey into the raw and beautiful landscape of our ancestors, whose songs still echo off the stones and whose memories are etched into the land around us. Connecting with that timeless wisdom and aligning ourselves with the Celtic wheel, we embrace the journey within; the journey of transformation and healing.
This full day workshop will cover the background to shamanism and will include practical explorations of the shamanic journey and the power of the drum, while also focusing on ancestor-honouring.
No prior shamanic experience is necessary. Please bring a pillow, blanket and a scarf/blindfold and you are more than welcome to make notes if you have a journal or notebook.
We will also be creating an altar for the ancestors on this day, and details will be given about the sorts of things that you might bring for this ceremony.
